Family tradition at Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma Stoddard was always responsible for bringing this yummy salad. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese (softened) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 (3 ounce) packages lime jell-o gelatin |
2 cups boiling water |
2 (1 lb) cans pears (cut & drained) |
1 1/2 cups pear juice |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Disolve jello in hot water. 2. Add pear juice, salt & lemon juice. 3. Refrigerate until partially set. 4. Beat in softened cream cheese slowly with wire whip. 5. Add ginger & mix. 6. Fold in pear pieces last. 7. Pour into 9 x 12 pan and refrigerate. |
