1 package ( 6 ounces ) lime jello |
1 cup boiling water |
1 package ( 8 ounces ) cream cheese, softened |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 can ( 15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained |
1 can ( 8 ounces ) crushed pineapple, drained |
1 cup lemon - lime soda |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 carton ( 8 ounces ) frozen whipped topping ( cool whip) thawed and divided |
Directions:
1. DISSOLVE JELLO IN WATER. 2. IN A MIXING BOWL, BEAT CREAM CHEESE UNTIL FLUFFY. 3. STIR IN JELLO MIXTURE AND BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH. 4. STIR IN VANILLA, ORANGES,PINEAPPLE AND LEMON-LIME SODA AND PECANS. 5. CHILL UNTIL MIXTURES MOUNDS SLIGHTLY WHEN DROPPED FROM A SPOON. 6. FOLD IN 3/4 OF THE COOL WHIP TOPPING. 7. POUR INTO A 13 X 9 X 2 INCH GLASS DISH. 8. REFRIGERATE FOR 3 - 4 HOURS OR UNTIL FIRM 9. CUT INTO SQUARES ; GARNISH WITH REMAINING COOL WHIP AND SERVE 10. YIELDS ........16 TO 20 SERVINGS |
