a little twist on the lima bean Ingredients:
32 oz lima beans |
6 onions yellow chopped |
32 oz lima beans |
1/8 cup garlic powder |
buncha salt an pepper |
2 cans rotel tomatoes with chilies |
Directions:
1. soak over nite 32 oz limas 2. next day put in a large pot 3. bring to boil- turn down and simmer 1 hr 4. add 4 onions, garlic powder and 1 can rotel 5. simmer till tender add salt an pepper to taste,simmer, about 1 more hour 6. let cool put in frig till tomorrow 7. soak another 32 oz of beans over nite 8. drain the beans that were soaking 9. heat up the pot of beans 10. add the new limas to pot 11. add 2 more onions bring to boil and turn down to a simmer 12. till limas are tender 13. there ready twice cooked lima beans 14. make some corn bread, |
