The fresh flavor burst of lemon perfectly accents the chicken and angel hair pasta in this quick and easy dish. :) Serve with a generous topping of Parmesan cheese or soy cheese, a tossed green salad, and a Cabernet Sauvignon or a rich Chardonay. 9 ounces angel hair pasta (the freshest possible) |
1 1/2 cups cooked diced chicken (from the deli) |
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
1 tablespoon butter, melted or 1 tablespoon margarine |
2 -3 tablespoons lemon juice (please not the bottled stuff) |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley |
1/4 teaspoon marjoram |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
salt |
fresh ground white pepper |
1 -2 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional) |
cheese, for serving |
Directions:
1. Prepare pasta according to package directions. 2. Toss pasta with chicken, oil, butter, lemon juice, parsley, marjoram and garlic powder. 3. Season with salt,ground black pepper, & crushed red pepper flakes if desired. |
