Light Wheat Bread With Honey |

This is a light, slightly sweet wheat bread that is moist and a high riser. I fix this in my dough cycle in my bread machine and bake in my regular oven. Ingredients:
1 cup warm water |
1 egg |
1/8 cup honey |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/4 cup vegetable shortening |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 cups whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup bread flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons vital gluten |
2 teaspoons bread machine yeast |
Directions:
1. Put the ingredients in your bread machine as directed by the manufacturer. 2. Make sure gluten is mixed thoroughly with the flour. 3. Hit dough cycle. 4. Form into loaf and place in a 8x4 loaf pan. 5. Let rise, covered, for 30 minutes. 6. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
