Ingredients:
8 ounces linguine, uncooked |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup fat-free evaporated milk |
1/4 cup sweet red pepper, finely chopped |
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated (fresh) |
1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed |
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled |
Directions:
1. Cook linguine according to pkg directions. Meanwhile in a small saucepan combine the next five ingredients. Cook and stir over medium low heat until mixture reaches 160 and coats the back of a metal spoon. 2. Stir in 1/4 C parmesan cheese, peas, and bacon. Heat through. Drain linguine and toss with sauce. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. |
