Texas chili uses light and dark chili powder. It took some searching but I found what amounts to a light chili powder - or lighter. Use this to balance out your actual chili powder Ingredients:
3 tablespoons paprika |
1 tablespoon ground cumin |
2 tablespoons dried oregano |
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Blend together and store in refrigerator for up to 6 months. For best results, grind cumin seed into powder. |
