I often serve this at summer picnics because it does not contain mayonnaise and is OK to be left out for a longer period of time. It is so delicious, I don't miss other mayonnaise heavy slaw.Carol Scovel, Baton rouge, Louisiana Ingredients:
6 cups chopped cabbage |
2 large carrots, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 celery rib, chopped |
2 medium dill pickles, chopped |
3/4 to 1 cup light italian salad dressing |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, toss first five ingredients. Add enough salad dressing to moisten. Yield: 12 servings. |
