Really nice soup and has really good taste. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 medium onion, chopped |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
32 ounces chicken broth |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
2 teaspoons italian seasoning |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
2 cups lasagna noodles, broken |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, finely shredded |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef, green pepper, and garlic cloves in Dutch oven or stock pot; drain. 2. Add onion, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. 3. Stir in chicken broth, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, and thyme. 4. Bring to a boil; add lasagna noodles. 5. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 6. Stir in Parmesan cheese. 7. Garnish each bowl with Mozzarella cheese. 8. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |
