Scented yoghurt drink from India. Great served with curries. Very smooth and refreshing in a hot climate. It has a very cooling effect on the mouth. You can make mango lhassi by blending in mango pieces with the yogurt or try it with different fruits or spices. Ingredients:
2 cups plain low-fat yogurt |
2 cups reduced-fat milk |
8 drops rose water (or to taste) |
3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
4 1/2 teaspoons caster sugar |
2/3 cup cold water |
ice cube |
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients except ice into the blender and blend smooth. (If it's too thick add a bit of water until it's the consistency you want.). 2. Serve very cold over ice. |
