Scented yoghurt drink from India. Great served with curries. Very smooth and refreshing in a hot climate. It has a very cooling effect on the mouth. You can make mango lhassi by blending in mango pieces with the yogurt or try it with different fruits or spices.
Ingredients:
2 cups plain low-fat yogurt
2 cups reduced-fat milk
8 drops rose water (or to taste)
3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 1/2 teaspoons caster sugar
2/3 cup cold water
ice cube
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients except ice into the blender and blend smooth. (If it's too thick add a bit of water until it's the consistency you want.).
2. Serve very cold over ice.
