Found a recipe on and changed a whole bunch of stuff. Turned out AMAZING! Makes a lot of food though, you may want to halve it. We just like leftovers for lunches. Ingredients:
1.01 kg lean ground turkey |
1 medium onion |
4 cloves garlic |
1 tbsp sesame oil |
6 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce |
3/4 cup hoisin sauce |
1 tbsp minced ginger |
6 tbsp rice wine vinegar |
2 tbsp asian chile pepper sauce |
8 oz waterchestnuts |
8 oz bamboo shoots |
240 g beansprouts |
112 g baby carrots |
Directions:
1. In a skillet over high heat, brown ground turkey. Once cooked, transfer to a bowl. 2. Cook onion in a tablespoon of sesame oil, adding rest of ingredients for sauce. 3. Mince garlic and ginger add to mixture. 4. Chop bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and carrots finely, add to mixture. 5. Add ground turkey back in and heat until veggies are desired crispness and everything is hot. 6. Wrap in washed lettuce leaves and enjoy! |
