This dish gives lentils a whole new meaning. You will love them. Ingredients:
1-lb lentils |
2-tsp salt |
1/4 lb bacon cut into small strips |
1-tomato (chopped) |
1-serrano pepper (chopped) |
1/4 0f an onion (chopped) |
1/4 bunch cilantro (chopped) |
1- clove garlic (crushed) |
Directions:
1. Cook lentils like you would beans at low to medium heat for about a half hour, half way through cooking add salt. 2. While beans are cooking in a skillet fry the bacon 3. After bacon is nice and crispy, add onion, tomato,pepper,cilantro and garlic, stir fry about 5 minutes and add to cooked beans. 4. Enjoy!!!! |
