Lentil Soup With Polish Kielbasa |

A savory soup that cooks for about an hour but smells and tastes like you slaved all day! Ingredients:
1/2 lb dry lentils |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/4 lb smoked kielbasa, diced |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 stalk celery, diced |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 teaspoons bouillon |
4 cups water |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Sort and rinse lentils. 2. In a saucepan, heat oil. 3. Stir in sausage, onion and celery until tender. 4. Then add garlic. 5. Add lentils and remaining ingredients. 6. Bring to a boil. 7. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender and soup gets thick. 8. Serves 4. |
