From Rival Versaware Crock Pot Owner's Manual and Cookbook, c. 2006. Ingredients:
olive oil |
8 cups beef broth |
1 cup carrot, chopped |
2 cups ham, chopped |
3/4 cup celery, chopped |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 (6 ounce) can chopped tomatoes |
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram |
1 1/2 lbs dry lentils |
2 teaspoons salt |
2 teaspoons black pepper |
1 cup bacon, chopped |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in saute pan over medium heat. Saute bacon until firm; remove from heat and move to crock pot. 2. Add remaning ingredients to crock pot. 3. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 6-8 hours, until lentils are tender. |
