I got this recipe from an old indian book ,tried it ,all the family liked it so i kept doing it all the time.. Ingredients:
16 oz. (1 pkg.) lentil any kind (better yellow) |
2 chicken bouillon cubes or chicken stock if available |
1 c. chopped celery |
1 c. chopped carrots |
1 c. chopped onion |
2 qt. water |
1 clove garlic |
few leaves curry leaves |
1 cup coconut milk |
1tsp cummins |
8 thinly cut lemon slices |
Directions:
1. Chop celery, carrots, onion in small pieces 2. Add lentil,celery,carrots,onion,garlic,curry leaves,chicken bouillon cubes to cold water and boil. 3. After 20 minutes blend the soup with a mixture . 4. Put the blended soup back on fire let it boil and add the coconut milk let it boil . 5. Add the cummin , 6. Serve with slices of lemon. |
