A recipe my mother taught me when I got married and that she has been cooking for many more years than that. Lentils, garlic, onions and sauce make a thick stick to your ribs healthy soup. Ingredients:
1 cup lentils |
3 garlic cloves; minced |
2 bay leaves |
1/2 cup onion; diced |
salt and pepper; to taste |
1/4 cup tomato paste |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Boil lentils until water turns black. 2. Strain and rinse. 3. Return to pot with 3 cups of water. 4. When water boils, add remaining ingredients. 5. Boil again until soup is thickened and dark. |
