this soup will fill you up and is great for a cold winter day when your home with some time and your looking for something good to eat Ingredients:
1/4 veg. oil |
8 cups of water |
4 bullion cubes |
half a chopped up onion |
2 cups of peeled cut up carrots |
1 cup of celery cut up |
2 cup of cherry tomatos cut in half |
1 bag of lentils |
i small can of tomato paste |
salt,pepper,adobo seasoning according to you taste |
Directions:
1. first step the soup is to have a pot of medium with oil let it warm up a bit and then throw in the onions and let then sizzle a bit 2. after about a minute throw in the chopped carrots and celery (while you do this make sure to keep it moving you dont want the onion to burn) 3. after a few minutes you can add in the water, bullion cubes and tomatos let this sit for about 10 minutes and spi it every so often 4. after this you can taste the soup and decide for you liking how much salt adobo and pepper to put into the soup 5. after you have added the salt, pepper and adobo add in the bag of lentils 6. after this step is done you have to let the lentil cook. remember to spin it you dont want it to stick to the bottom of the pot 7. as soon as the lentils have cooked you can serve the soup 8. according to your liking you can choose to cook the soup longer or shorter. if you want a thicker soup with less soup you can choose to cook it a while after the lentils have cooked but if you would like it alittle more watery you can shut the pot off as soon as the lentils cooked |
