Note that the amount of lentils and rice is measured dry! Very important, or you will end up with the tiniest loaf ever made! If you like things less spicy, up the ketchup and ommit the barbecue sauce. Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 dl) red lentils, cooked |
1 cup (2.5 dl) brown rice, cooked |
1 carrot, shredded |
1/4 cup (0.5 dl) ketchup |
1/4 cup (0.5 dl) barbecue sauce |
1 tsp sage |
1 tsp garlic powder |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Cook the lentils in 1 cup (2.5 dl) water, and the rice in 2 cups (5 dl) water. 2. When cooked mix in a bowl. Shred the carrot and add it. Add all spices, ketchup and barbecue sauce, and stir until well mixed. 3. Hopefully your mix will be utterly distasteful looking and hold together well. If not, add more rice / ketchup (depending on if it's too runny or too dry). Put it in a form and smooth it out evenly. 4. Cook for 30 mins at 200°C (390°F). |
