This recipe comes from and looks very easy to make. Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped |
1 carrot, chopped |
2 stalks celery, chopped with the leaves |
1 apple, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/2 teaspoon anise seed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup lentils, uncooked |
1 teaspoon curry powder |
3 cups water |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until done, about 60 minutes. 2. If desired, serve over steamed rice. |
