Ingredients:
145 g dry lentils, cleaned
470 ml chicken broth or vegetable broth or beef broth
450 g crushed tomatoes
120 g green bell pepper, chopped
110 g onion, chopped
2 garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon allspice
450 g tomato sauce
300 g whole kernel corn
Directions:
1. Combine everything (except tomato sauce and corn) in 2 1/2 quart pot and boil over high heat.
2. Reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 25- 30 minutes.
3. Stir in tomato sauce and corn.
4. Simmer for 10- 15 minutes.
5. Serve hot!
6. Great garnished with lowfat sour cream.
