Hi! This is Lena(yes I am the one that baked this cake)...This is actually the first time I baked a pound cake all by myself! Its very easy and if a 14 year old can do it, YOU SURE CAN! So I hope you enjoy it.... Read more . P.S.- I learned it from the best...MAMA JET! Ingredients:
3 cups sugar |
2 sticks butter (no substitutes!) softened |
7 eggs at room temperature |
3 cups cake flour, sifted twice, divided |
1 cup whipping cream |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Spray butter flavor crisco into a 10-inch tube pan. Flour pan. 2. Cut a circle out of waxed paper and place in bottom of tube pan to prevent cake from sticking. 3. Thoroughly cream together sugar and butter. 4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 5. Mix in half of the flour, then the whipping cream, then the other half of the flour. 6. Add vanilla. 7. Pour batter into prepared pan. 8. Set in COLD oven and turn heat to 350 degrees F. 9. Bake 60 - 70 minutes, until cake tester tests clean 10. Cool in pan for 5 minutes 11.
