Lemony French Bread, Grilled |

Although slightly changed, the original of this recipe was found in the Southern Living, Summer Grilling 2009 cookbook. Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened |
4 teaspoons lemon zest, minced |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper |
8 slices french bread, cut 1-inch thick |
Directions:
1. Preheat grill to 350 to 400 degrees F (medium-high). 2. In a small bowl, combine butter, zest, garlic powder & lemon pepper, then spread this on both sides of the French bread slices. 3. Grill, without the grill lid, 2 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. |
