Ingredients:
3/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
1/3 cup(s) butter, cubed |
6 cup(s) chicken broth, divided |
1-1/2 cup(s) cubed cooked chicken |
a dash(es) ground nutmeg |
1 cup(s) half-and-half cream |
8 slice(s) lemon |
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice |
1 cup(s) milk |
1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1/2 tablespoon(s) salt |
Directions:
1. In a soup kettle or large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add 2 cups broth, milk and cream. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. 2. Stir in the chicken, lemon juice, salt, pepper, nutmeg and remaining broth. Cook over medium heat until heated through, stirring occasionally. Garnish each serving with a lemon slice. |
