I make this salad for all our family get-togethers. I am not a fan of vinegar, so this is a great alternative to most salad dressings. Very light and refreshing. Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce |
cooked bacon, crisp and diced |
shredded parmesan cheese, to taste |
crouton, to taste |
1 cup olive oil |
1 egg |
1/2 lemon, juice of |
1/2 lemon, zest of |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
worcestershire sauce, couple of drops |
tabasco sauce, couple of drops |
1 dash sugar |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
black pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash and dry romaine. 2. Cook bacon. 3. Combine olive oil, egg, lemon juice and zest, dijon, worchestershire, tabasco, sugar, garlic, and black pepper. 4. In a large salad bowl, add caesar dressing to lettuce. 5. Add parmesan cheese to taste. 6. Add black pepper to taste. 7. Add croutons. 8. Toss. |
