From a magazine. In this recipe you boil the sugar water and then add juice to make a concentrate that will keep in the frige for up to 3 weeks. Also here a recipe for pink lemonade and lemon iced tea. Ingredients:
6 -9 lemons |
2 cups sugar |
2 cups water |
1 pinch salt |
ice cube |
lemon slice |
Directions:
1. Finely grate rind from 2 lemons. 2. Combine rind, sugar, water, and salt in saucepan. 3. Bring to boil and boil 5 minute. 4. From experience do not leave kitchen until the end of the 5 min.! 5. Remove from heat and let cool completely. 6. Squeeze juice from lemons to yield 2 cups. 7. Stir juice into cooled syrup and store in covered container. 8. 1/4 cup concentrate to 3/4 cup water or soda. 9. For 1 quart 1 cup concentrate to 3 cups water. 10. Lemon Iced Tea:. 11. 1/4 cup concentrate to 3/4 cup iced tea. 12. Pink Lemonade:. 13. Stir in 1 tbsp grenadine syrup per glass of lemonade. 14. Garnish with lemon slices. |
