Lemon Thai Soup With Shrimp |

This is a wonderful, spicy soup. I got the recipe from a local head chef. It makes a LOT so invite your friends over. Ingredients:
2 gallons seafood stock |
1 large onion |
1/2 cup garlic |
1 large jalapeno |
3/4 cup flour |
1/3 cup sesame oil |
1 lemon, zest of |
3 tablespoons ginger |
4 ounces thai seasoning |
1/2 cup cilantro |
1 bunch green onion |
3/4 cup sweet soy sauce |
2 lemons, juiced |
1 lb shrimp |
Directions:
1. Saute onion, garlic and jalapeno until soft. Add flour to make a roux. 2. Add Cold seafood stock to roux. If you ad warm stock to warm roux you will have lumps. 3. Add all remaining ingredients except shrimp. 4. Simmer 1-2 hours. Add cooked shrimp just prior to serving. |
