Pull out that ice cream maker... summer is here! I am a freak for lemons and limes.. This is so good, fresh and lite. It says it serves 10.. Ahh not me I want a big dish.. I will have this instead of dinner! Read more ! A small dish is real good after a meal.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (6 lemons)
1 tablespoon lemon zest
Directions:
1. Bring sugar, syrup, zest and water bring to a boil over med high heat.
2. cook about 2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Remove from heat and add lemon juice; pour mixture into a
4. separate container and cool in an ice bath or refrigerate overnight.
5. We have done with lime and oranges and tangerines when in season. Tangerines make a wonderful one also.
6. Freeze in an ice cream maker; can be kept frozen up to one month.
