Lemon Sauce For Ginger Nut Pudding

This is the sweet, lemony sauce that MAKES the ginger nut pudding.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in saucepan, stirring constantly over low heat. When sauce thickens, remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.
2. Pour over steamed ginger nut pudding to serve.
