This was one of my mom's recipes. I love the lemon sauce served over plain sponge cake. Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar |
1 tbs. cornstarch |
1/8th tsp. salt |
1 cup water |
1 tsp. lemon extract |
1 tbs. butter |
Directions:
1. Mix all together sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add the water, stir and cook until it thickens. Add the butter and lemon extract. Stir until well blended. 2. Good served warm or cold. |
