Buttery and very delicious.This recipe is in Betty Crocker's cooky book. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract |
1 3/4 cups flour |
3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar |
3/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream butter with sugar. 2. Blend in egg and lemon extract. 3. Sift together dry ingredients and add, mixing until a compact dough is formed. 4. Stir in raisins. 5. Roll in 1 inch balls. 6. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. 7. Flatten with fork dipped in flour, making a crisscross pattern. 8. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. |
