LEMON LIME CAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boyd Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups butter |
3 cups flour |
3 cups granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
5 eggs |
3/4 cup lemon lime soda |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and butter then beat until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs one at a time and beat well then add flour. 3. Beat in lemon juice and lemon lime soda. 4. Pour batter into well greased and floured tube pan then bake at 325 for 1-1/4 hours. |
