These make such great loaf desserts for the holidays. I served it with a lemon sauce, so delicious.... Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) package lemon cake mix |
1 (4 ounce) package instant lemon pudding |
1 cup water |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
4 eggs |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 tablespoon poppy seed |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Grease loaf pans, 2 large or 4 small. Combine the first 5 ingredients, beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Stir in pecans and poppy seeds. Put in loaf pans. Bake at 325F for 40 minutes. 2. Mix together 1/2 cup lemon juice and 2 tablespoons sugar until sugar is dissolved. While loaves are hot, pour lemon/sugar combination over each one equally. 3. Cool in pans for at least 10 minutes. |
