Another recipe from my walking buddy Juana. This was one of the delighful recipes she served for us last weekend when she served us the most phenominal meal. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter melted
16 ounces cream cheese at room temperature divided
2 cans sweetened condensed milk divided
1/3 cup bottled lemon juice
4 drops yellow food coloring
8 ounce frozen whipped topping thawed divided
1/3 cup bottled lime juice
4 drops green food coloring
additional whipped topping for garnish
lemon and lime slices for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Combine cracker crumbs, sugar and butter then press into pie pan. 3. Bake in preheated oven 5 minutes then cool. 4. With electric mixer at high speed beat 1 package cream cheese in bowl. 5. While beating add 1 can sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice then yellow food coloring. 6. Fold in 4 ounces whipped topping then spoon into cooled shell. 7. Beat remaining cream cheese with milk, lime juice, green food coloring and whipped topping. 8. Spread over lemon layer mounding well over top of pie pan. 9. Chill 2 hours then garnish with additional whipped topping and lemon and lime slices.
