Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup(s) sugar |
1 cup(s) fresh lemon juice squeeze 4-5 large lemons |
3 tablespoon(s) lemon zest grated |
5 egg yolks |
1 quart(s) milk |
1 quart(s) heavy cream |
Directions:
1. In a sauce pan, over low to medium heat, whisk: sugar, lemon juice & lemon zest until thickened; the mixture will be very thick. Once thick, remove from heat, add milk and cream. When the mixture it is cool, add egg yolks and blend with mixer. Strain into your ice cream freezer. Turn in freezer for 10 minutes before adding ice and salt to unit. |
