This came from an old neighbor of ours. It's not typically creamy ice cream, it's more of a popsicle texture , kind of icey , but good. The flavor is nice for summer! (cook time is freeze time) The note at the bottom of the recipe card says, and I quote very delish , dats da truth! Beverly Hills recipe , wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! *LOL* Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups sugar |
7 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 cup crushed pineapple with juice |
1 quart half-and-half |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
4 drops yellow food coloring |
Directions:
1. Mix the sugar, lemon juice and pineapple and juice well. 2. Add half and half. 3. Stir for 1 minute. 4. Freeze for 5-6 hours. 5. Cut into slices and serve. 6. **This has no instruction on the recipe as to WHAT to freeze it in- Since you slice it, I used a large bread pan. |
