LEMON HERB RICE DATED 1978 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Weir Estate in Canton, Texas in 1990. Ingredients:
1 cup long grain brown rice |
2 teaspoons chicken flavored bouillon |
1 teaspoon dry lemon peel |
1/2 teaspoon marjoram |
1/4 teaspoon thyme |
1/4 teaspoon rosemary |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1/8 teaspoon turmeric |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. In saucepan combine all ingredients then bring to a boil. 2. Place lid on pot then reduce heat to low and simmer 45 minutes. |
