LEMON HERB RICE DATED 1978 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Weir Estate in Canton, Texas in 1990.
Ingredients:
1 cup long grain brown rice
2 teaspoons chicken flavored bouillon
1 teaspoon dry lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups water
Directions:
1. In saucepan combine all ingredients then bring to a boil.
2. Place lid on pot then reduce heat to low and simmer 45 minutes.
