Lemon Herb Chicken With Yellow Rice |

This recipe was given to me by my cousin. Very simple, and savory. Ingredients:
1 young roasting chickens (butterball is preferred) |
1 (32 ounce) bag of spanish yellow rice |
1 (32 ounce) can green beans |
1 tablespoon mccormick lemon & herb seasoning |
Directions:
1. Put chicken in a pot of water. Add 1 Tbsp McCormick Lemon Herb seasoning. Turn on high setting, boil for 1 1/2 hours. 2. When finished, take chicken out of water and let cool until room-temperature. Re-heat broth from chicken until boiling. Add all of yellow rice (3 cups). Let boil for 5 minutes. Put on lid, and let steam-cook for 30 minutes. 3. Pick all of the meat off of the chicken. Add to the rice. Stir well. 4. Drain juice from canned green beans. Add to rice. Stir well. 5. Enjoy! |
