I don't remember where I got this recipe, but my whole family loves it. Ingredients:
3 -3 1/2 lbs beef roast |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
2 teaspoons lemon pepper |
1 teaspoon dry basil |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
4 -5 potatoes |
4 -5 carrots |
1 -2 onion |
2 tablespoons cornstarch (for gravy) |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
Directions:
1. Combine spices, press onto surface of roast. 2. Heat oil in electric skillet, brown beef, drain drippings. 3. Add 1 cup water. Bring to boil and simmer 2 hours, tightly covered. 4. Add onions, potatoes and carrots. Cover and cook 40 - 45 minutes or until tender. 5. Remove meat and carrots. Mix cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon basil with a little water and return to skillet. Cook until thickend for gravy. May have to add a little more water if gravy is too thick. |
