LEMON GREEN BEANS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Carner Estate in Texarkana, Texas in 1990. Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
3 pieces bacon cooked crisp and crumbled |
Directions:
1. Remove ends and break green beans into 1 pieces. 2. Wash well then add to 2 quarts of boiling water. 3. Cook 20 minutes then drain well. 4. Toss beans with lemon juice and bacon. |
