Perfect accompaniment with roast, steak, grills, almost anything! Ingredients:
1 lb baby carrots |
3 tblsp butter or margarine |
3 tblsp brown sugar |
3 tblsp lemon juice |
1/4 tsp salt |
grated lemon peel, optional |
Directions:
1. Place carrots in saucepan cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10-12 minutes, or until crisp. 2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar, lemon juice and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 3. Drain carrots add butter mixture and toss gently. 4. Garnish with lemon peel if desired. |
