Lemon-ginger Ricotta Cheese Cake |

I love ricotta cheese cake. Its lighter than cheese cake made from cream cheese, and had a sweeter flavor. Plus, way cheaper to make. Ingredients:
2 lbs ricotta cheese |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/3 cup flour |
5 eggs |
2 tsp lemon zest |
2 tsp vanilla |
dash of salt |
4 tbsp butter |
2 tsp grated ginger (powder will work though) |
you can also substitute amaretto for the lemon, vanilla and ginger |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 300 degrees 2. Butter a spring-form /cheese cake pan 3. Put the flour in the pan and cover the bottom and sides, sticking the flour to the butter 4. Mix the ricotta, eggs, sugar, lemon zest, vanilla, salt and ginger until smooth 5. pour the batter into the buttered/floured pan 6. Bake for an hour or so until it turns a golden brown |
