Easy grilled appetizer shrimp! Prep time does not include marinating time Photo from Pillsbury 1999 Ingredients:
1/4 c e.v.o.o. |
1/4 c lemon juice |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 tsp salt |
2 tsp dried basil leaves |
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes |
30 shelled, deveined uncooked large shrim (about 30) |
10 (8 inch) wooden skewers |
fresh basil sprigs |
lemon slices or wedges |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl combine all marinade ingredients, mix well 2. Place shrimp in resealable freezer bag 3. Pour marinade over shrimp; seal and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours 4. Soak wooden skewers at least 30 minutes 5. Thread 3 shrimp on each skewer, leaving space in between 6. Heat grill to medium, carefully oil grate 7. Place skewers on grill, cook 8 to 10 minutes or until shrimp are pink, turning twice and brushing with marinade 8. Discard any remaining marinade 9. To serve, arrange skewers on medium sized platter, garnish with fresh basil and lemon 10. Note: To broil, place shrimp on oiled broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as guide and brushing with reserved marinade |
