Quick and easy side dish. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1/2 cup chopped shallot |
3 cups water |
1 (2 ounce) envelope lipton recipe secrets savory herb with garlic soup mix |
1 1/2 cups orzo pasta |
1 grated lemon, zest of |
Directions:
1. Melt the butter in the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. 2. Add the shallots; stir/saute for 3 minutes or until softened. 3. Add the water and soup mix; bring to a boil. 4. Stir in the orzo and lemon zest. 5. Lower heat to medium-low and simmer gently for about 10 minutes or until the orzo is tender. 6. Drain of any excess liquid and serve. |
