Lemon French Toast With Strawberry Sauce |

My family just loves this french toast recipe it's a little different which makes it special but not so different that it is unrecognizable Ingredients:
12 slices french bread |
jar of lemon spread |
6 beaten eggs |
1/2 cup of milk |
strawberry sauce |
1 pound pkg frozen strawberries in syrup thawes |
2 tbsp cold water |
2 tsp cornstarch |
Directions:
1. spread 6 slices of bread with lemon spread
2. cover with remaining bread
3. in shallow bowl mix eggs and milk
4. dip each sandwich in egg mixture let it soak a bit
5. fry in melted butter until golden
6. Meanwhile
7. heat strawberries and syrup in small saucepan
8. mix cold water and cornstarch in a cup
9. add cornstarch mixture to hot strawberries stirring constantly until thickend
10. to serve
11. slice sandwiches in half diagonally
12. spoon over sauce
