This makes enough for 1 cake. I put it between layers of white cake. Then I frost with lemon frosting. I love this stuff! Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
3 tbsp. corn starch |
1/4 tsp. salt |
3/4 cup milk |
2 tbsp. butter |
1/3 cup lemon juice |
2 tbsp. grated lemon rind |
4 to 5 drops yellow food coloring |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, mix sugar and corn starch. 2. Blend in milk. 3. Cook, stirring constantly until thick over low-medium heat.. 4. Remove from heat and blend in butter. 5. Stir in lemon juice and food coloring. 6. Chill. |
