LEMON DREAMS This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Harrelson Estate in Detroit, Michigan in 1984. Ingredients:
8 ounce package cream cheese |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon brandy extract |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 cup heavy cream, whipped |
21 ounce can lemon pie filling |
toasted slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, brandy and lemon juice mixing until blended. 2. Fold in whipped cream. 3. On a waxed paper covered cookie sheet spoon mixture to form eight shells then freeze. 4. Before serving fill center of each shell with pie filling and top with almonds. |
