Lemon Dilled Brussels Sprouts |

A nice change for your holiday feast! Love the lemon flavor and the crunch of the water chestnuts. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water |
3 (10 ounce) packages frozen brussels sprouts |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained |
Directions:
1. Combine water and salt in a large saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Add sprouts. 4. Cover and return water to boiling. 5. Lower heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes. 6. Drain and return to pan. 7. Meanwhile melt butter in a small saucepan. 8. Add the dill, lemon juice and water chestnuts. 9. Set aside. 10. To serve, pour the butter mixture over sprouts. 11. Toss well and place in a serving bowl. |
