Lemon Curd Buttercream Frosting |

I love lemon curd. I use my old family recipe and place it in this buttercream frosting that is great on homemade pound cake, lemon cake, sugar cookies, white cake.....well you get the picture. Ingredients:
1 pound powdered sugar |
1/3 cup milk |
3/4 cup lemon curd |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp vanilla |
1 stick softened butter |
1 cup shortening |
Directions:
1. In mixer bowl, place the first 5 ingredients. 2. Whip until creamy. 3. Slowly start adding the butter a little at a time until it is all incorporated. 4. Then slowly add shortening. 5. Whip this mixture on high speed for at least 10 minutes. |
