A great easy to make - soft lemon cream candy . Happy Holidays . Ingredients:
2- packages ( 8 ounces each) cream cheese .softened |
3- tablespoons lemon juice |
2- tablespoons grated lemon peel |
1- teaspoon lemon extract |
1- cup powdered sugar |
1- pound dark chocolate candy coating .chopped |
1/4 - pound white candy coating chopped |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon peel,and lemon extract 2. gradually beat in powdered sugar.... 3. cover and freeze for 2 hours 4. using a small ice cream scoop, drop mixture by 1 inch balls onto waxed paper- lined baking sheets 5. cover and freeze for 1 hour 6. in a microwave, melt chocolate candy coating.. 7. working with a few frozen balls at a time dip into chocolate and place on the wax paper.continue until all are done 8. let it stand until set...... 9. melt white candy coating, spoon into a heavy- duty resealable baggie 10. cut a small hole in the corner of the bag 11. drizzle over tops of the candies 12. store in the refrigerator. remove from refrigerator just before serving 13. yields about 4 dozen.......... |
