My MIL's recipe for her Italian lemon cookies. So good. This recipe can be easily doubled. Ingredients:
4 cups flour |
1 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 cup crisco |
1 cup milk |
1/2 lemon, juice and zest of |
4 eggs |
glaze |
milk |
icing sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Beat eggs and sugar. 3. Add Crisco to mixture. 4. Add lemon juice, milk, flour and baking powder. 5. Shape batter into mini braids. 6. Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes, depending on oven. |
